Megachilidae

  Leaf-cutter Bees, Resin Bees. Distinguishable by their large head. The scopa is beneath the abdomen rather than on the legs. Some are parasitic on the nests of other megachilids. Some excavate fresh burrows while others utilize pre-existing burrows.
